Thigh lift surgery reduces excess hanging skin, and even fat, resulting in smoother skin and better-proportioned contours of the thighs and lower body. A thigh lift may be performed in combination with liposuction and other body contouring procedures. It helps in gaining confidence to wear well fitted clothes.
What should I expect during thigh lift?
The surgery will be performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the laxity of skin, incisions are made on the inner aspect of the thigh and groin crease.
What post-operative instructions will I need to follow after thigh lift?
Hospital stay of a day or two will be required. A pressure garment has to be worn for a couple of months to reduce swelling and to contour the thighs. The scar on the inner aspect of the thigh will remain concealed. Running and workouts to be avoided for 4-6 weeks.
